MHCE High Point System

The MHCE would like to introduce the European High Point System (HPS).
The MHCE organises several shows each season. Every show has a lot of horses that do very well in the show ring and several of them become champions.
The aim with the HPS is to have High Point Winners at the end of the show season, a title that hopefully will be recognised and wanted, because it shows other people that this horse is a constant winner during the whole show season!
This title will be eligible for all miniature horses. The only thing you have to do, is let your horse participate in the High Point System and give your horse a chance to become the High Point Horse in his/her own class and receive a very honour full Award at the yearly MHCE Banquet!
How does it work?
The classes at the MHCE shows that will count in the High Point System are:

  1. Open Yearling colts.
  2. Open yearling mares
  3. Open 2-year-old colts
  4. Open 2-year-old mares
  5. Open Senior stallions
  6. Open Senior mares
  7. Open Gelding
  8. Open Country pleasure driving
  9. Open Single pleasure driving
  10. Open Hunter
  11. Open Halter- obstacle
  12. Open Liberty
  13. AMHA Yearling colts
  14. AMHA Yearling mares
  15. AMHA 2-year-old colts
  16. AMHA 2-year-old mares
  17. AMHA Senior stallions
  18. AMHA Senior mares
  19. AMHA Gelding
  20. AMHA Country pleasure driving
  21. AMHA Single pleasure driving
  22. AMHA Hunter
  23. AMHA Halter-obstacle
  24. AMHA Liberty

Everyone can participate with as many horses and as many HPS classes as they want (and where the horse could be shown in normally according to the rules and regulations). Everyone has to pay to participate €20,- per horse/class.
After the payment is made, the horse will be able to start collecting points.
Every MHCE show will have the same HPS classes available (as shown above). Points can be gathered at each show from the MHCE and will be counted to your total/class. Every HPS class will have its own High Point Winner at the end of the year!
You don't have to enter in extra classes at a show for this HPS. It will be integrated in the normal classes.
So no extra work, only a lot to gain!
The results will be on the MHCE website during show season!
Points will be given to all the HPS participators in a class. The higher a horse is placed, the more points can be gathered:

1st place collects 6 points.
2nd place collects 5 points
3rd place collects 4 points
4th place collects 3 points
5th place collects 2 point

All HPS participants in a class will get 1 point (for entering). So this can be very attractive for people, even without winning ribbons…
If a horse that is no HPS participant takes one of the top 5 places, those points will not be counted and won't go to the other participants.
At the yearly MHCE banquet the awards/prices will be given to:

- The High-Point Champion in each class
- The overall winner

Your miniature horse can enter the HPS by subscribing. You can use the HPS form available on the MHCE website, and send it to our secretary by email or regular mail.

In short: coming show season people can participate with their horses in a European MHCE High Point System (HPS). They can subscribe their horse(s) for several classes (20 euro per horse per class per season). Points can be gathered throughout the season in the regular HPS classes (first 5 places take most points, but every horse that is in the HPS gets at least one point for entering the class). The points will be counted and added to the individual total per horse (and published on the website). The more shows they enter and the higher places they get, the more points that can be gathered and earned. In the end, the horse (per class) with the most points will become the High Point Winner from that class and receive at the yearly banquet a very nice award!
